Government's expected change in fares policy a positive move for passengers - ATOC

28/11/2011

Responding to the Chancellor's expected announcement of a change to regulated fare rises in January 2012, a spokesperson for the Association of Train Operating Companies said:

"The change in policy now expected from the Government is a positive move for passengers as it will mean lower than expected fare rises.

"Train companies are ready to work hard to ensure that a Government decision on fares is able to be implemented in time for the New Year."
