Data Feeds
Passenger rail operators create various types of data associated with the provision of train services. This includes fares, train timetable and routeing data. Operators use this data to provide timetable and fares information to their customers through a variety of means. Rail Settlement Plan (RSP) is able to make this data available to third parties on behalf of the operators, in order to promote rail travel and encourage the wider distribution of accurate and consistent rail travel information on an impartial basis.
How and for what purpose can you use RSP data?
RSP data can be used for a wide variety of purposes. For example:
- The publication of rail timetable and fares information via the internet;
- Timetable information via mobile telephones;
- Inclusion within electronic ticket issuing systems approved by RSP.
- RSP data must be used accurately and impartially.
