Chris has created the #1 web site for travel and transport, and doubled online sales and customer numbers in 2 years. The site has 7 million unique customers each month, and the total customer base is 15 million.

He has created a valuable commercial asset and driven sales opportunities to £450m pa. While the business volume has trebled, Chris has reduced costs by two thirds and developed valuable revenue streams.

Chris has developed a B2B business with a product range that provides over 250 services to 45 clients.

Under his leadership the business has built a good reputation and won a multitude of national and international awards.

Chris was educated at the University of Cambridge, King’s College, where he took three degrees. His initial work was in artificial intelligence and self-generating systems.

He joined Price Waterhouse / PwC as a management consultant in the financial services, utilities and travel industries, building new business operations, call centres and interactive channels for blue chip clients in several countries globally.

Chris then ran the UK operation of a US web systems design company, prior to joining National Rail Enquiries.

As well as his role as CEO he represents the rail industry on the Advisory Group of Traveline.

Chris also served as an NED on the Board of an internet service provider, helping to grow and then sell the business following the acquisition of a competitor.

Chris is also a Fellow of the Institute of Directors, is trustee of a charity and is a school governor.
