Adrian Shooter CBE

Chairman, Chiltern Railways

 

 

 

 

A fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering, the Institution of Mechanical Engineers and of the Chartered Institute of Transport, Adrian joined British Rail in 1970 as an Engineering Management Trainee.

In the course of his career, Adrian has had management responsibility for a wide range of railway activities, including operations, engineering and marketing. Throughout, he has been at the forefront of improving productivity and delivering change.

In 1996 he led a Management Buyout of Chiltern Railways which has been the fastest growing Train Operating Company since then.

He is now Chairman of DB Regio UK Ltd which owns Chiltern Railways, DB Tyne and Wear Ltd and also 50% of London Overground.

His a non-executive Director of RSSB.
